She studied painting and engraving at the HigherSchool of Fine Arts in Athens (ASKT), having asprofessors in painting Aristotle Tzakos, GiorgosKazazis and Panos Charalambous and engraving next to Dina Kotsiou. She graduated with honors.
Her work is centered around recording and reflecting on various limiting situations created mainly by political, social and/or religious institutions. The artist focuses particularly on the women's issue throughout the course of human history, since the position of the woman who experiences a feeling of weakness in the face of power, subjects her to discrimination and exclusion, depending on the family, social and cultural sphere.
Her work has been inspired by the work of the visual artist Shirin Nesat(*), which refers to the female desire for liberation and self-determination.
(*) Shirin Neshat, Iranian-American visual artist, recognized worldwide for her work “Women of Allah”, which was based on Sarnoush Parsipour's book "Women without Men".
